How much are my payments and when are they due?

When you purchased the vehicle at the dealership, you signed a financing contract with the dealer that indicates  your monthly payment amount, the monthly due date, and the first payment due date. Please review that contact for the specific information, especially the date the first payment is due.

Can I pay through Automatic Transfer from my existing checking account at my bank?

Yes, you can pay your loan through automatic monthly debits (ACH) from your existing checking account. In fact, we encourage it! Not only are monthly ACH transfers convenient, but they give you the safety and knowledge that your loan payments are being paid monthly and on time.

Alliant can originate these monthly automatic transfers for you. You must complete the information on the Automatic Loan Payment Authorization Form (PDF). The completed form can then be faxed to 773-462-2263 or secure emailed  to Loan Servicing at Alliant.

What kind of business is Alliant?

Alliant is the 7th largest credit union in the U.S.  We’ve been in business since 1935 and have helped tens of thousands successfully finance their cars and trucks.

What’s a credit union?

A credit union is like a bank, but instead of shareholders, our members — who are also owners — call the shots. That’s why you’ll get friendly, personalized service, every time. And all the money we make goes back into the credit union, which is how we’re able to offer our members competitive loan rates & high savings rates.

Why do I need to be a member of Alliant?

You need to be a member of Alliant because only Alliant members can receive our low loan rates. When you received financing at the dealership, you likely signed an Alliant Credit Union Membership Agreement before proceeding with your loan. Alliant membership comes at no cost to you. In fact, it lets you take advantage of all our financial benefits (a great auto loan rate is just the start!).

Why is my loan through Alliant?

Your loan is through Alliant because the dealership with whom you purchased your vehicle is an Alliant partner. As an Alliant partner, the dealership offers their customers the ability to take advantage of low Alliant auto and RV loan rates.

How can I access my Alliant account?

The easiest way to access your Alliant account is by enrolling in Alliant Online Banking. This will give you continuous access to all your account information. In addition, you can set up automated transfers, check savings and loan balances and monitor payments, amongst other features. To help give you a complete view of your financial health, Alliant will also provide you a credit score on a quarterly basis.

In order to set up your Online Banking access, please call our Member Contact center at 1-800-328-1935 and request online access today. While we offer 24/7 service, we recommend calling between 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT for the best experience.

I am living in my RV full-time. Can you explain why Alliant requires me to hold one year’s worth of RV property insurance with Alliant?

In order to fulfill federal laws regarding full-timer RV status, Alliant is required to hold an escrow account in an amount equivalent to one year’s property insurance on your RV. These funds will be held in your Alliant savings account until your loan is paid in full. The funds will continue to earn interest with Alliant on a monthly basis.
